About This Dog for Adoption

Chunky's ideal home

Chunky is a 4-year-old Bullmastiff x Rottweiler who came into our care due to no fault of his own, and now he’s ready for his next adventure! He’s looking for a home that is happy to refine his basic training, including his loose lead walking, as he can be a bit of a strong lad when something takes his interest, but he’s happy to learn with the help of a tasty treat. He can live with secondary school aged children who understand he can be a little independent at times and are happy to give him space when he needs to relax. Chunky will be looking for a home as an only dog, but could possibly have calm walking buddies that are happy to just coexist, once he’s settled into his new home. Chunky is housetrained but may need a refresher in his new home, so would ideally have his own private garden. Once settled into his new home, Chunky could be left for a couple of hours built up gradually. Chunky will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Chunky's perfect match?

Chunky is a big boy who is super handsome and loves to sniff and explore the great outdoors! He is a lovely lad who takes treats super gently and enjoys some gentle fusses and snoozes. Initially Chunky can be quite independent, but with a patient and understanding home, he will soon show you his love of playing with toys & enjoys cuddles, particularly trying to snuggle up with you at night time!
