About This Dog

Frank's ideal home

Say hello to Frank! He’s a 7-year-old Rottweiler X Labrador looking for his forever family. Frank is a big strong boy with plenty of energy – he can jump up when he meets new human friends, so his perfect home would be with older secondary school children and above. He’s eager to make as many doggy pals as he can, and he could definitely live with another dog (pending a successful meet here at the centre). Sometimes his excitement around other dogs can turn into humping, so this will need some ongoing training. Frank is such a sweet boy and we know he’ll be a fantastic addition to his new family!

Could you be Frank's perfect match?

Frank is still very playful and full of beans! He loves to go for sniffy, investigative walks, and there’s nothing he likes more than a good cwtch when he’s tuckered out afterwards. Frank came into our care with limited information about his past, so we aren’t sure if he’s ever been housetrained or how he travels in the car. He’ll need a patient and understanding family who are happy to learn his quirks and continue working on his lead training, as he can pull when he smells something interesting! Frank is a fairly independent boy who settles well in his kennel, so we think he could be left by himself for 4-6 hours once he’s made himself at home, although this will need to be built up slowly initially. He’s a gorgeous dog with a lot of love to give – we can’t wait to see him snuggled up on his forever sofa!
