Valentino

Valentino's ideal home

Valentino has come out of shell since first being in the centre, he has taken in his stride coming out of his kennel and meeting other dogs. He really enjoys fusses from his favourite people and is super brave getting to know new people he meets, it does not take him long to get used to you but still has his worries. Valentino is a big snuffle bug; he will come over to you when he wants fuss and needs reassurance. He likes to give you kisses and likes finding comfort in his handlers.

Could you be Valentino's perfect match?

Valentino can be worried of loud noises and alarm bark although he has been gaining in confidence over his time at the centre, even going out on walks by himself without his sister. Ideally his new home would have fewer visitors initially. He can go home with children aged 12+ but they need to be aware of his nervousness and the need to be calm. Due to being a puppy, he will need minimum leaving hours initially. He can go home with other animals such as a dog savvy cat, although new owners should be aware that he has shown potential guarding behaviours around toys whilst kennel sharing. Valentino would benefit from having his own private and secure garden to build up his confidence in, but if there is a home with a secure communal garden that is quiet, he could go home here.

Rottweiler Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Rottweiler.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
