About This Dog for Adoption

Buddy's ideal home

Buddy is on the search for an active forever home with adopters who will give him lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Buddy can only live with older teenagers and above as he has shown to be worried by children previously (growling and showing teeth). Additionally, he will only be able to have older visitors to the home. As Buddy has shown signs of resource guarding, he needs a home that will be cautious and respectful around toys. Although Buddy loves his food, his family will need to be cautious to keep up with his diet as he is currently on a weight loss journey. Buddy would like to be the only pet in the home as he prefers his own space but would be happy to have calm walking friends. Buddy will need a private and secure garden to enjoy with his family.

Could you be Buddy's perfect match?

Beautiful Buddy is a lovely boy who is super clever. He knows his name, sit, paw, stay, down, bed and leave it. He adores food and this is a great motivator for his training. Buddy enjoys playing with toys and will engage in a game of fetch with his handlers. He has shown to potentially guard soft toys so will need space when enjoying these. He loves going out on his adventures and having zoomies in off lead areas. He is a wonderfully fluffy goof ball who is sure to bring lots of love to his forever family.

Rottweiler Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Rottweiler.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Rottweiler Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
