About This Dog for Adoption

Chop's ideal home

Chop is a handsome 2-year-old Rottweiler looking for an experienced home familiar with the needs of his breed. He’ll need to be the only dog in the home, as for Chop, humans are simply the best! He can live with secondary school-aged children who are confident and respectful around large dogs, and would love a family with low leaving hours so he can enjoy plenty of company and attention.
Chop would suit a home that enjoys playtime — especially games with his beloved ball — and can continue his positive training journey using his favourite reward: hotdogs! He already knows clever tricks like sit, down, paw and more, and is eager to keep learning. If you’ve got space in your heart (and on your sofa!) for a big, cuddly lad who thinks he’s a lapdog, you could be the perfect match for Chop.

Could you be Chop's perfect match?

If you’re after a loyal and loving companion who brings a smile to every day, Chop could be the one. He is good in the car and will happily join you on new adventures, but he’s just as content snuggling up for cuddles at home. Chop is a big softy who doesn’t quite realise his size — so be prepared for lots of affection and a dog who might try to sit right on your lap!
If you have large breed experience, time to continue his training, and plenty of love (and toys) to share, Chop might just be your perfect companion. Chop is not currently in the centre and is on our home stay scheme.

Rottweiler Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Rottweiler.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Rottweiler Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
